Great Wave Off Kanagawa
Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai's image, The Great Wave Off Kanagawa, dramatically captures the power of nature. The original picture was created in 1831 using woodblock print on paper, and has become one of the world’s most iconic images. Hokusai plays with perspective, depicting Japan’s highest mountain, Mount Fuji as a tiny triangle glimpsed beneath the crest of a huge wave.
