The Lady and the Unicorn
Often referred to as the ‘Mona Lisa of the Middle Ages', The Lady and the Unicorn (‘La Dame à la licorne’) is a series of six tapestries depicting the five senses of smell, taste, hearing, touch and sight. On display at the Musée de Cluny in Paris, and considered one of the greatest works of art from the Middle Ages, the tapestries are a wonderful example of medieval décor.
