Our KIND materials

Signare has a plan

As the world's largest brand and manufacture of woven tapestry products, we use recycled materials and production systems to make our products sustainable as possible. We use recycled textiles to manufacture tapestry bags, proving that we can build high-quality and beautiful products from waste sources.

The Earth is being polluted and the textile industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world for this! A family in the UK throws away an average of 30 tons of waste each year. Only 15%
is recycled or donated, the rest goes directly to landfill or incinerated into machines. The UK is the fourth largest producer of textile waste in Europe. The apparel industry is one of the biggest polluters for the planet and as a brand we want to improve our planet!

Recyclable materials and innovative technologies help to
reduce prolong material usage and waste in production.

The fight against climate change is a fight for equality

We don’t have any waste of water when dyeing our products
and we aim to save on water to, to be able to recycle it back into our planet. This then reduces ecological pollution and sustains the world for longer days.
Signare also pay attention to environmental protection when producing fabrics. Using machine operated knitting to replace traditional manual knitting reduces the error rate in the production process and then reduces the waste of defective products and yarns. Our products prove that high-quality products can be built from waste materials.

Our Signare packaging

All our packaging is Polypropylene (PP) which is a
thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including our packaging and labelling. We decided to use PP bags as they gained popularity when the UK introduced legislation that discouraged the use of plastic bags at retail.

Also, our cardboard we use is FSC certified, the Forest
Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is essentially an international, not-for-profit membership organisation, both supervising and promoting sustainable forest management globally.

Recycled textile & eco-friendly materials

Our products aim to reduce waste. At least 60% of our products are currently made from recycled materials, which are all made from waste produce. Yarns that are not up to standard during the production process will be recycled and regenerated a second time to benefit our system.

We are working hard to make our products 100% recyclable by the end of 2023!
